Terms of use

Last updated: 02.10.2026

1. Who these terms are between

These terms apply to your use of the HView app for Android TV and of this website. “HView”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of HView; the contact details are on the contact page. By installing or using HView you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please uninstall the app.

2. What HView is

HView is a home screen (launcher) for Android TV and Google TV. It organises and opens the apps already on your television. It does not provide TV channels, films or any other content, and it does not change how other apps work.

3. Free trial and subscription

  • The first 7 days are free. The trial starts the first time you open HView and needs no card or account.
  • After the trial, the full home screen needs a subscription. Without one, HView shows a plain mode (a black background, a clock and an app row). Nothing is locked or deleted.
  • Subscriptions are sold through Google Play for the period you choose, renew automatically and belong to one television.
  • Prices are shown in the app by Google Play and on our pricing page. A promotional price applies only for the period or periods stated.

4. Payment, cancellation and refunds

Google Play takes the payment under its own terms. You can cancel at any time in Google Play; what you have paid for lasts until the end of the period. Our cancellation and refund policy explains the rest.

5. Your licence and acceptable use

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use HView on your own televisions for as long as you follow these terms. You agree not to:

  • resell, share or copy your subscription in a way it was not meant for;
  • attack, overload or interfere with our servers;
  • reverse engineer or modify the app, except where the law allows it despite this clause;
  • use HView for anything unlawful.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep HView and its servers running, but we can’t promise they will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features and will try to avoid changes that make HView worse for people who have paid.

7. No promise of results

HView is a home screen. It can make a slow or cluttered home screen lighter, but it can’t add memory to your television, repair hardware or speed up other apps, and we don’t promise a particular improvement. The free trial exists so you can find out for yourself.

8. Our responsibility

HView is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for anything related to HView is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law, or liability that can’t be limited by law.

9. Closing a device

We may close a television’s licence if it is used to abuse the service, for example to attack our servers or to get around payment. We will tell you why if you ask us.

10. Privacy

How we handle data is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we will say so in the app or on the website. Continuing to use HView after a change means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator is established, as shown in the contact details, without removing any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live. Disputes go to the courts that have jurisdiction under that law.

13. Contact
