How to install HView and make it your home screen
It takes about five minutes and changes nothing permanent on your TV. You can go back at any time.
What you need
- An Android TV or Google TV device with the Google Play Store (a TV, box or stick)
- Android 7.0 or newer
- An internet connection, to start the trial and check the subscription
Step by step

Install HView from Google Play
On your television, open the Google Play Store, search for HView and install it. Then open it.

Let the trial start
The 7-day trial starts on first launch. There is no sign-up: HView registers the television by itself and every feature is on.

Go through the two-step welcome
HView asks you to pick a look and which modules your home screen should show. Values that suit your TV are already selected, so a few presses of OK are enough. You can change all of it later in Settings.

Make it your home screen
On Google TV, the welcome offers to make the Home button open HView; choose “Turn on now” and allow “Home button” for HView on the accessibility screen. If your TV has no such screen, HView shows a command to run from a computer. On other Android TVs, press Home and, if the TV asks which home screen to use, choose HView. You can also always start it from your app list.

Make it yours
Open Settings to change the theme, accent colour and wallpaper, switch modules on or off and choose a city for the weather.

Subscribe if you like it
When the trial is nearly over, pick a plan on screen. Google Play takes the payment, and you can see your status and support code under Settings › Account.
Going back
HView does not change your TV’s system. To go back, switch off the Home button module if you turned it on, and uninstall HView like any other app. Your old home screen is still there.
