Features

Everything on your home screen, nothing you don’t need

HView is a launcher with a short list of things done well. Each part is optional, and a part that is off costs your TV nothing.

Three themes, each with its cost spelled out

Pick a look on first launch and change it whenever you like. HView tells you what each theme costs your TV, and warns you on a device where one may be slow.

  • Cinematic

    medium cost

The backdrop takes the colour of the focused app, and apps sit in rows of banners.

  • Glass

    low cost

A glass dock with round icons over your blurred wallpaper.

  • Minimal

    lowest cost

A black screen, a huge thin clock and one row of app names. No images at all.

And the details that make it pleasant

  • Sorted for you

Apps are grouped into Watch, Music, Games, Other and System automatically. The app you opened last moves to the front of its group, and favorites stay exactly where you put them.

  • An app menu with the useful things

Favorite an app, move it, put it in another category, rename it, hide it, open its app info or uninstall it, all from the home screen.

  • Wallpapers and accents

Eight generated gradients, six plain colours or a picture of your own, with six accent colours (Lime, Sky, Coral, Lavender, Mint and White).

  • Clock, date, weather and network

Optional. The weather comes from Open-Meteo and never asks for location permission: you search for a city instead.

  • Shortcuts

Optional shortcuts to your TV inputs, the system settings and Wi-Fi.

  • Content rows

On Android 8 and newer, optional rows show the “Watch next” and recommendation channels your other apps publish. They are read on the TV and never leave it.

  • Home button on Google TV

An optional module makes the Home button open HView instead of the stock home screen. It only notices that screen: it reads nothing and collects no data.

  • Idle screen

An optional idle screen with a clock after 1, 2 or 5 minutes without input, or off.

  • Safe mode

If HView fails to start twice in a row, it starts again with the optional modules off and the Minimal theme, and tells you what it changed.

  • English and Turkish

HView follows the system language, or you can pick English or Turkish in Settings.

Respects you

No ads, no account and no tracking. HView sends a one-way digest of your device ID and the device model for the licence, a small daily usage report (app version, theme, modules, crash count) and, if you use the weather, the city you picked to Open-Meteo. The privacy policy lists everything.

Privacy

After the trial, nothing is locked

When the trial or a subscription ends, the home screen drops to a plain mode: a black background, a clock and an app row. Your choices are not erased, and when you subscribe the full home screen comes back exactly as you left it.
